21 Days Before The Wedding (Part 1)

So imagine it, you’re three weeks till your big and magical day and you are in high stress and panic mode! You’re second guessing your look; your bride’s maids all have an opinion about something that drives you crazy. Nobody is on the page and you are thinking... this is my BIG day, why should I listen to any of them? Maybe… OR maybe you are just overwhelmed and stressed. You are sweating the small stuff with how close this magic day is. Don’t worry.

We highly recommend during the next three weeks before the big day, take some time and pamper yourself. Here are some recommendations we think can help relieve stress, feel productive. (Make it girls day)!

1.    Have a spa party

Spend time with your bride’s maids. Gossiping is always fun and in the end you feel rejuvenated and relaxed. Book a on location SPA party

2.    Eyebrow waxing – Definitely want to do this 2-3 days before the big day. Why not make it a girl’s day with brunch as well.

3.    Spray Tan – I definitely recommend (if you want) to do a spray tan try it out three weeks before to make sure you like it. If everything went well go back in for your spray tan 3 days before the wedding.

Tanning is always relaxing if you can do it out in the sun. But watch out for sun damaged.

4.    Nails – You definitely want to do all your Mani-Pedi’s at least 4-5 days before the wedding. We definitely recommend using Gel for a longer lasting color. If your doing a regular manicure this needs to be done the day before your wedding otherwise you risk chipping on the day of.

5.   Lastly but definitely not least – eye lashes. If you are looking for extensions its best to actually try them out a month in advance and retouch it the week before.

The Hair: Do's, Don't's & Tips

Thinking about your big day? I know the excitement and the stress are killing you. Luckily you have nothing to fear. We here at Krystal Studios have tips for everything and this week, we would like to focus on... HAIR.

Hair is definitely a big item to work with and the sooner the better. We have tips for do's and don't's, when the best time is to start planning your hairstyle and products we definitely recommend to keep those locks healthy, shiny and smooth.

First off, I bet all you lucky brides are wondering when should I start planning out my hairstyle?  We definitely recommend seeing us as far out as six months before the big day. Planning on the perfect look from highlights to colors to updos or leaving your hair down is a big decision and you want to make sure you like the style and the color.  This also gives enough time that if you want to alter, or change the style you have plenty of time to do so.

It is also good to keep your hair conditioned and treated. Depending on your hair type, here are some good options:

For Fine hair: It is best to stay away from oil based deep conditioners. These products will wipe away any volume from fine strands. This can also leave your scalp greasy. We here at Krystal Rose Studios recommend a Keratin conditioning treatment. Find these treatments that are made of proteins to strengthen hair without adding any excess weight. Once a week is enough for your hair type.

Our recommendation is Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratin Intensive Treatment

For Curly hair/damaged hair: If you have thick, coarse or dry curly hair, shea butter and/or coconut oil are your best bets. You definitely want to speak to your stylist at Krystal Rose Studios in regards to the best hair masks and conditioning treatments to keep those curly locks hydrated. A leave-in conditioner like Paul Mitchell's Full Leave-in Circle Treatment is a great option

A few extra other tips:

Be sure to visit your hairstylist 2-3 weeks before hand to get the color touch-up and style you want. (1.5 weeks for Blonde colors/style touch-ups)
